Fareham Railway Station Approach

by greywell

19 Jun 2010

This array of deep potholes is persiste ntly defying the best civil engineering brains of the Railway Station Authorities and has been reported on other sites.
Over 20 years it constantly re-appears after a repair attempt.
Traffic is forced to vear to the wrog-side of the road at often busy times and is extremely dangerous to traffic and pedestrians alike.
We know 30 ton trucks are frequent users, but really, this isn't Great Pyramid construction. I've suggested elsewhere that a Technical paper could be presented as to the apparent difficulties involved. Perhaps Egyptian sub-contractors should be called in?
Seriously, how associated Authority Engineers can have their names and professional titles bill-boarded to the Public and fail to solve this piddling and annoying problem is a mystery. I suggest they have a chat to the Rank of Taxi Drivers opposite the area of potholes.

Bluntley, as the Councils and Police have no juirsdiction (and the Station-Master arrives by train) profit seems to take precedence over health and safety.

Pothole location
A27, Fareham, Hampshire PO16 0, UK
