They Paid up!!!!!

After 7 months of getting a bruised forehead - and thanks to this website - I finally got confirmation today that Herts Highways are going to settle my claim in full !

Having asked for and received the 2 years of data under the FOIA for the section of the road where I hit the pothole, I was able to highlight discrepancies in the information they quoted and statements they made when twice rejecting my claim, when compared with data from their own reports.

So the moral of this story is don't give up and take the time out to request the FOI data and analyse it. Herts Highways - who I am convinced just lied to get me off their back - have not apologised and are saying they are paying up as a gesture of goodwill only.... Who cares, I got my money !
