has anyone else hit this pothole or had damage to their car it was totally unavoidable due to it being on a single track road,
we were travelling to relaitives before heading off on our honeymoon, when we hit this pothole or should i say crator!
measuring 37inches by 17inches by 4 1/2 deep.
it caused damage to my alloy wheels and we had to get a courtesy car due to it being a rural area and not sure if the drive shaft was damaged, this happened on the 18th aug, the council addmited that the pothole was inspected on the 10th aug and deemed safe!
and only repaired the road after i reported it, they have recived my claim form with photos and measurements, and i recived a letter back saying that they werent liable for any costs or losses as they have complied with their regulations,
i have now left it in the capable hands of the legal team on my insurance to deal with as the council wont even discuss anything with me anymore over the phone and have been extremely rude concerning the whole matter. hopefully my insursnce company can succesfully persue this case for me, as ive already ended up £350 excess out of pocket and havent had the rest of the bill for my car yet as ive only just recived it out of the garage afew days ago.
